Express Entry
Entry is an online system created in 2015 to manage applications for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada. It allows eligible candidates to submit a profile directly online.. Eligible immigration candidates with the needed CRS score are then invited to submit an application for permanent residence.
What is the expression of interest and “Express Entry” model?
The expression of interest model is a program whereby candidates submit credentials that conform to existing economic program selection criteria, for example, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class Program. Canada is then able to select from that pool whichever applicants they feel are the most likely to establish themselves economically and contribute to Canadian society.
If you are eligible to apply , you can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) on the Express Entry system. Once your profile is submitted, you are automatically assigned a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
Approximately 2 weeks to 1 month, the Canadian government conducts a draw on Express Entry where they issue invitations to apply (ITAs)
Upon receiving an ITA, eligible candidates with their immediate family members can then submit a complete application for Canadian permanent residence, which will be processed within six months.
