Last week , the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) issued 100 new invitations to eligible candidates on Express Entry, who had CRS points of at least 360 . These invited candidates can now apply for a provincial nomination under the AINP.
The first step to be eligible is to enter into the Express Entry System.
Almost every two weeks, Canada holds Express Entry draws inviting candidates to apply for permanent residency. The highest-scoring candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) . If they are approved, they receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence and their final step is to land in Canada. After the officer signs their CoPR paper, that they are officially permanent residents.
Alberta Express Entry Stream
Candidates in the Express Entry system have the chance to receive an invitation from Alberta, as well as other provinces with Express Entry. Candidates need to have enough work experience in an eligible occupation that is approved by the province and supports the province’s economic development and diversification priorities.
The AINP provides a list of occupations that are ineligible. Any other occupation may be considered.
